Frequently asked questions regarding a ‘Pets, Homes and Gardens’
franchise
Q. What do I get for FREE?
A. You will attend our acclaimed ‘full induction training’
course, our comprehensive operations manual, your own bespoke website,
your own bespoke branded business logo, a dedicated phone number
and full ongoing business support, including tried and tested marketing
and advertising planning.
Q. How can you do this for FREE?
A. We understand that if we set you up for free, it will help you
become more successful. The saving of thousands on initial investment
will allow you to spend what is needed on getting your business
established. You will become more loyal to us, as we make you successful,
making for a long and happy franchisee/ franchisor relationship.
Q. How much can I hope to earn?
A. The business that we have used for the franchise model, is based
upon our own acclaimed pet sitting business here in Horsham, which
we have now run for over ten years. It currently earns, part time,
between 15k and 20k.
Q. Where do you make your money for doing
all this?
A. As with nearly all franchises, you would pay us through a percentage
of your monthly turnover, (9.5%), however, these payments would
not start until month four of your trading, giving you time to get
launched with us. We are very fair people at ‘Pets, Homes
and Gardens’, we will only get paid more if you are earning
more, which seems another fantastic deal.
Q. Do I need to be a natural born entrepreneur
to do this?
A. With our comprehensive support, know-how and guidance behind
you, no. We will help you maximise your talents to make you really
successful.
Q. What are the main qualities that you
will be looking for in a potential franchisee?
A. You will need to be reliable and ‘absolutely’ trustworthy,
you need to like animals and be keen to learn more about their different
care requirements. You must be ready to deliver an exceptional level
of customer service, which is key for all ‘Pets, Homes and
Gardens’ franchisees.
Q. What qualifications, skills and money
will I need to be accepted as a franchisee?
A. You do not need any formal qualifications, however, you will
need to drive, own a computer and a phone line, and have some basic
IT skills. You will also need working capital for marketing and
advertising plans. You will also need ‘early months’
living expenses whilst you get established. You will also need to
have a CRB check.
Q. How do I find out more?
A. Contact either Peter or Julie from The Pet, Homes and
Gardens Company for a friendly chat and to see if your required
area is free, you can then request an application form, and start
a new and exciting future with us.

"My wife and I always wanted to set-up
a small business, and joining ‘Pets, Homes and Gardens’
helped provide us with exactly the kind of confidence and support
that we needed to get started.
Getting going could not have been easier, the whole process, from
training through to launch was totally seamless, and working with
Peter and Julie is very enjoyable. Our business lifted off the ground
brilliantly, we have built a significant customer base and we are
confident about continual growth, this year and next. We could not
have achieved this without their invaluable help all along the way.
Our success is their success and they both work hard to make this
happen."
